Q's Nap Mat

Last year Bekah, Nana & I worked on making nap mats for Cameron & Kaiden for school.  So this year my friend Erica asked me to make one for her son, Quentin.  I got to use both the sewing and the embroidery on the nap mat.  I had a great time working on it and the dogs thought I was making them a nap mat, as you can see.

Cam & Kaiden's Shirts

I used the embroidery portion of the  machine to decorate a shirt for Kaiden for his birthday with an alligator, like a kiddie La Costa shirt.
Then Cameron wanted me to do a shirt for him, so I got to try out the Disney portion of the machine and make Woody.

First Baby Outfit

Okay I decided to make one of the reversible outfits from an old pattern I found.  I think it came out pretty cute.  My favorite are the bloomers!

About my Innov-is 900D

Thanks to George W. I was able to convince Chris to let me have an embroidery machine.  After much research, it was decided that the Brother Innov-is 900D would do everything I needed it to for now.  I wanted an upgrade on a sewing machine and an embroidery machine.
So I've been playing with it for the last few weeks so I'll have questions at the ready when I have my classes in mid-August.  I thought I'd share some of my creations via a blog.  It's so much easier to post pics this way and that's really the only way to show off what the machine can do.

Thanks for reading and seeing what I'm up to.
